Let’s level-set right from the start…I have no idea what I am doing. I am not a blogger or a writer so a little grace would be appreciated.

I heard somewhere that if you think your story is worth sharing you have to cut the bullshit and be brutally honest with yourself. It is the only way to connect with your audience. So how does one do that? I’ve been told you have to write as if you believe nobody will ever read your words. To be vulnerable, which just so happens to be the one thing I fear the most. So that’s what I am going to do…be vulnerable, expose painful truths in order to own them instead of them owning me. Hopefully the years I’ve spent in therapy have prepared me for this journey. I guess we will find out together, if you decide to hang around.

  1. I struggle with that myself. I have a few times now removed posts that I felt left me too open. My newest poem Trespass I cannot bring myself to post at this time. I have been vulnerable with my audience though and those are the most read posts. Welcome. Might I suggest you include a like button. Sometimes people don’t have a comment to make but the like button will let you know they read your words….in theory at least. LOL

  2. Oh wow. I got a notice that I had a new follower on my blog, and when I looked at your name, I saw that your blog is called Dazed and Confused. With a relatable name like that, I had to check it out. I have read enough to know that you are an amazing writer and your story is so compelling. So now I am going to read your blog posts all the way through from the beginning.

I have jury duty starting tomorrow morning. I am planning to go to bed early tonight, and it may be awhile before I can get back to your blog. But I have your blog bookmarked. I can’t wait to read the rest!!
